Myotherapy at My Body Clinic provides a complete approach to musculoskeletal care, combining assessment, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation in one session.
Rather than simply treating the area that hurts, we take the time to understand what may be contributing to your pain, restriction or reduced performance. This allows us to create a treatment plan that is specific to you and what your body needs.
Each session begins with a detailed assessment. We look at how you move, your range of motion, strength, joint function and any areas that may be contributing to your symptoms. From there, we form a clinical diagnosis and explain what we believe is happening in a way that is clear and easy to understand.
Treatment is then tailored to your presentation and may include hands-on therapy, dry needling, joint mobilisation, soft tissue techniques, trigger point therapy, cupping, IASTM and other evidence based methods.
Our focus is not just on short-term relief. Where appropriate, we also include rehabilitation as part of your session, including mobility work, strengthening, movement retraining and simple exercises you can continue outside the clinic.
This approach helps bridge the gap between treatment, recovery and performance.
Myotherapy can help with a wide range of concerns, including sporting injuries, recurring tightness, restricted movement, headaches, back and neck pain, and ongoing issues that keep returning.
For athletes and active people, we also assess movement, strength, control and mobility to identify areas that may be limiting performance or recovery.
Our goal is for you to leave each session with a clear understanding of what we found, what we treated and what the next step is.
